Taman Siswa Dewantara Kirti Griya Museum

“Ing Ngarsa Sung Tuladha, Ing Madya Mangun Karsa, Tut Wuri Handayani“ -famous slogan

Comfortable can be the first impression that we feel upon entering the Dewantara Kirti Griya Museum. The residential atmosphere of the museum is beautiful. The owner, Ki Hajar Dewantara, wanted his home to be a museum. Various types of books are stored in cabinets, as well as desk chairs, ancient briefcases, to make visitor's witness with the pieces of life fighter history and the nation’s education leader history. In the bedroom of Ki Hajar Dewantara, there are some clothes that he had been worn every day, brush caps, combs, canes to help him walk, his bed, and his glasses as his trademark. A number of photos of his youth, organizations and family pictures featuring the sons and daughters of Ki Hajar Dewantara, silver wedding photographs decorate the walls of this 300 square meters building.
