Anak Kolong Tangga Museum




The museum was built by Rudi Corens. He is an artist from Belgium who has been stayed in Yogyakarta since 1991. He also donated all his personal collections that more than 900 items. He also worked with Dyan Anggraini, and she is the chief of Cultural Park in Yogyakarta. The Kolong Tangga museum is officially opened on February 2, 2008.

The collections of the museum are children toys from Majapahit Empire era until now. Indirectly, this museum is like a conservation place. There are several toys which exhibit in this museum from Indonesia and some several countries. Beside exhibition, it also actives on workshop like storytelling, handy craft, etc. It also has a program called “The Museum comes to visit you” and it is dedicated for children who are sick in the hospital.

The explanations are only typed with the computer and printed on a colored paper
The explanations are not complete
Some collections are dusty
The explanations has many wrong words
The room are small so some collections must be put outside the museum
The explanations has no subtitle on some of it
The floors are broken
